IIRC, I could only Continue if I agreed to precise location tracking. I'll double check when the update agreement request comes back. In any case, I almost always have my location turned off. Hopefully Samsung can't get my precise location with location turned off.
For various reasons, iPhone and Graphene aren't options for me. I'll bite the bullet and go ahead and hit Continue and hopefully Samsung will let me disable things if they send me notification spam.
I'll try Pixel for my next phone. Hopefully the Pixel won't be as spammy as Samsung.
I didn't mean email spam, I mean getting unwanted notification spam on my phone; notifications that I can't turn off. And, as I mentioned, I really don't want to give them my location. Can Samsung secretly get my precise location even when I turn off location? Can Samsung turn on location even...
See this image first: This Samsung screen is forcing me to choose all boxes even though I don't want to. If I click "Continue" I fear that I'm unwillingly giving Samsung permission to spam me. Any way to hit Continue without Samsung forcing all boxes to be checked? Anyone know if I'll start...
Hi All, I have Nexus 5 Marshmallow w latest updates. A few months ago the battery started to drain fast. I checked which apps may be using a lot of battery but it seems that no app was causing a problem. I replaced the battery with an LG OEM battery and the new battery is now also draining fast...
Hi All, I have a 2 year old Nexus 5 that has never been rooted. Maybe its a coincidence, but since I installed 6.0.1 my battery is draining quickly and takes a long time to charge. Anyone else have this problem? If yes, is there a way to downgrade to 6.0? Some other way to fix this problem? Is...
Hi All, I need to replace the battery in my 2 year old LG Nexus 5. Someone said there are two types of Nexus 5 and I need to make sure I get the right battery for my particular version of the Nexus 5. Has anyone else heard of this issue? How do I make sure I get the right battery for my...
Help! I just installed 5.1 on my unrooted stock Nexus 5 and now it shows me a lock screen asking for a PIN. I did not use a pin or lock screen before the 5.1 update. Help! How do I fix this?
Thanks

Cheers,
Advait

I'm loving my Nexus 5, my first Android phone.
I use Pattern Lock. I want to disable Pattern Lock when I'm at my home wifi. I did some research and it looks like apps can only turn off Pattern Lock when the phone is rooted. Is this true? I don't want to root my phone and I'd...
