I can not get my contact ringtones to work. Please help

My phone will not allow me to give my contacts different ringtones. I went to contacts, options, assigned the ringtone. It will say the name of the ringtone, and play so I can hear it. I press o.k. to set that, but it will play regular phone ring when I get a call from the contact.

Just received my Gingerbread update. Went off without a hitch. Will see what happens when I start using. Oops, I meant to put this in the General post.
