I need to be able to root again..

I had to unroot and de-bloat and do a factory reset to the the update to work on my phone. Now that I've got all that taken care of I can't root. I'm failing on step 5 of 2.1 superoneclick where it remounts or w/e it says. I'm assuming this is because of the update and will be fixed eventually?

Does anyone know an app or a way to switch from 4G to 3G without restarting the phone? My brother has an app for his thunderbolt that just switches without requiring a total reboot of the phone. Am I missing something or am I using the wrong app?
