I have the Eris and I don't have a clue what rooting is or what the benefits are. maybe you could show me. i saw an app for changing the color of your trackball on slideme market but it said i needed to be rooted

I see you have made the switch from BB to Android. Do you have the Eris or the Moto? Have you rooted the Moto, if you have it, and which ROM are you running?
