dont get a bad esn phone EVER..im not 100% if they can or not..but its NOT worth the risk!! trust me..buy one used on ebay,theyre like 250ish for mint condition w/ good esn.

oh **** yea its worth it..everything works mms web gps..just make sure there is someone in your town who can do it..also you can still keep the same account..all they do is convert the evo to metros network.then when they have the esn in their database its ready for activation..then all you have to do is esn change over to the evo..its very simple. hope this helps.
