I've been wanting to just backup my google authenticator. I don't use root anymore and have flashed the latest stock ota. Is there a way to just temporarily root so that I can backup one file? I've been reading about doing it on other phones via adb, but I don't know if it will work or damage...
So I was reading about the upcoming (maybe) 2.2 OTA. The poster said something like, "Make sure to root with Unrevoked forever before installing the OTA, or you might not be able to root again (at least for awhile)".
Is this true?
Can I root with "Unrevoked Forever" and install the 2.2 OTA...
So what's the deal with "rooting your phone"?
Is there a password to the root account?
Can any app you install su root without your permission?
Can someone connect to your phone through wifi / internet and login as root with no password? (Are there any sshd / ftpd / telnetd etc running?)
We placed our order for 2 incredibles last night (on the verizon wireless website). The website said that they will ship May 7. Today we got an email saying they had shipped and will be here on Monday (too bad they don't deliver on the weekends!). So it looks like they have more in stock!
