    i follow the instructiins but 1) in the dos window it say - wating for device 2) it just stays on the white suxmyballspieceofshit Huwaii screen

    reverting back to stock, ok power down the phone and download and extract this to your desktop MetroStockRecovery-SCRIPTS.zip after you done that press and hold vol down, end key and tap power, your phone should be on the white huawei screen and it should stay there plug your phone to the computer via usb cable, now open the folder that you extracted and run both of these file, first run fastboot-windows you will see a black box come and leave quick, next run metroPCSStock-windows.bat than another black box will pop up and it will do its thing, once it finishes the phone will automatic reboot itself.

    one last thing before I hit the rack....
    - What should I expect from this mod...is it really that much better? I ask this cuz I just got my droid dialed back in with all my apps ...that was quite a fiasco last time we tried it.

    that ass hat that you talk to with metro is full of bull, everyone on here has rooted install roms and so on and they can install 2.2, but what i would do if i was you is flash back to stock than try the update and wait for it to failed and if it cant boot because of the update i would take it to store and do what alot have done, blame it on the update and they should swap out the phone.

    Sat. morning
    well i tried that this morning, your dropbox link but this time using the last instructions you gave using settings/sd card & phone storage settings and tap software upgrade. It unpaks but fails on the installation. Reflashing and waiting for further instructions.

    ok with the playful mod you have to flash it in recovery and with the "dload" folder on you sdcard if you using the download file from me, you can go to settings/sd card & phone storage settings and tap software upgrade.

    okay...I'll try that but I need a couple hours....have to make sure I have an operational phone...when I get back tonight I'll try that...so unroot my phone and take off cw and then follow your instructions about drop box right? Then what ? Start again on the CM7 and gapps?

    hey there, try this first, download http://dl.dropbox.com/u/31550100/download/M860B617dload.zip and extract it to you desktop than move it to you sdcard, next revert back to 2.1, but dont root it or download rom manager, just leave it at stock everything, next power down your phone, and press vol up, end key and tap power and let the update install on its on, it will take about 10 minutes, dont pull the battery untill after 15 or so. post back to me, im trying something out to figure out whats causing this error. Thanks!!! Also make sure your battery is more than 50%.

    yuppers CM7-Ascend-05212011-signed or this one Huawei_Ascend_Android_2.2_With_Wifi forgot which one ...still no market...everything else works...even the new APN settings work...but no market:(
