Apparently will show up in the phone app overflow menu...
Guess what... it's June ;-)
No surprise - the June images are out.
No surprise - there are again two versions (MMB30J and MOB30I) following the MMB and MOB fork that occurred a few months ago...… I stuck with later-looking MOB fork and flashed MOB30I
No surprise - there are again many...
Here is where we’ve been:
FEB: MMB29Q
MAR: MMB29V
APR: MMB29X, MOB30D
MAY: MMB30G, MOB30I
It seems that in April we forked: keeping the old MMB series and starting a new MOB series.
Speculation on some sites is that the new MOB fork has a new radio and the old MMB fork is kept around for...

Every month there are multiple items deemed "critical", but this month there was some extra commotion in the news about a linux kernel flaw, that almost led to a mid-month update in March.
So I'm going to flash this as soon I get a...
I just did my first flash to update to current security level (Feb) since I first set up my new phone in December. It's probably a routine thing for you guys, but it was a first time for me. So I'm leaving my notes here in case they may be of use to anyone else (and I'll probably come back here...
You may have heard that Xposed is available on Marshmallow. In fact a large list of modules are already updated/working on marshmallow, as listed here
Xposed for marshmallow installation is a little tricky. I spent awhile reading through this Nexus 6 xposed marshmallow thread to find some...
Thanks to help from scaryalien and Rxpert83, my Nexus 6 is newly rooted.
There are a couple of things I'm thinking about doing that are specifically related to the Nexus 6. Here's what comes to mind:
1 - Unbelievably, the N6 has no Miracast support. I see my elderly Mom in a home every day...
I've been installing apps on my new Nexus 6 (running 6.0.1) and all apps seem working fine so far, except one: droid48 engineering calculator (emulation of the HP48).
In order to register a tap on a button/key in that app on my N6, I have to leave my finger on the key for some period of...
On my rooted AT&T S4, I just "upgraded" from Android 4.4.4 (I337UCUFNJ4) to Android 5.0.1 (1337UCUGOC4) using Flashfire for the Rom and Odin for the bootloader as descirbed here.
I opted for the "odexed" version because it's truer to stock and supposed to be faster loading during boot.
I still...
My 85 year old mother uses this phone as an emergency phone. It's always connected to wifi, but not much screen-on time, except when I visit I check the battery and notifications.
Attached shows 31% battery used in 6 days...could be an 18 days battery life.
I realize the low screen/phone...
My thinking is like fox. I haven't heard of disable within settings on user /downloaded apps. Only for system apps. (Unless rooted in which case use tibu). I'm on 4.3...maybe things are different in other versions.
Following up on the Tasker theme. It may not be for everyone. For some (like me) it's almost the best thing since sliced bread.
Here is what I have in Tasker. It says the name of the SMS sender as long as they are in my contacts.
It is really easyt: 2 conditions in the profile (one for...
