So after updating to latest OTA and re-rooting, I replaced the stock bootanimation.zip file with one I had used before. Under 4.1.83 the sound would play during boot. But after the OTA, even the stock Bootanimation played no sound,(even though one is configured and the sound file is present)...

Is it possible to SSH into the Atrix, I would like to be able to FTP some files over (running Linux and can't seem to mount for media-sync). I can ping it and see it connected to my router.
