  • I think the main difference is that you are using your phone much more than I generally do. I text occasionally and might use the browser here and there, but it is not constant use. With heavy use, I would say my battery life is comparable to yours.

    I have done a few things to try to extend my battery life:

    1. no live wallpapers - they look cool but are a drain on the battery
    2. reduce the screen sleep time
    3. keep bluetooth, wifi, and gps turned off unless you are using them

    Follow those steps, you may get a little more battery life, but I doubt you will ever get 7-8 hours with heavy use. Unfortunately, that seems to be true with just about every android phone, including the Mesmerize. Now, there are extended batteries that are available for the Mesmerize that will give you longer use time, but the standard battery doesn't seem to last any longer than the Genesis. I apologize if my comment on battery life was misleading.

    hello grayman i do have a question. how did you manage to have your lg genesis last up to 7 to 8 hours. my story with the battery is after about an hour or 2 of lookin at the android market playin games and texting it went from 100% to 50% in battery i was thinking about switching to the mesmerize beacauce of the battery i fear its gonna die on me when id need it most help me out? please and thank you.
