    Root Rooting tips/ Andriod Version update?

    I recently rooted my LG Vortex with GingerBreak, i wanted to know what can you can do once you root it. I tried using a standard Gingerbread Launcher from the Android Market but it just didn't work. Can the Vortex update from 2.2.2? I want to update to 2.3.
