    Help Not receiving text notifications

    I'm using the messaging app that the phone came with, i either have android 2.2 or gingerbread 2.3. When I receive a text nothing pops up on the screen to tell me i got one. There is absolutely no way that i know if i get a text unless i open the inbox.
