When I use the default email app to send a photo, the quality gets degraded quite a bit, even though I choose "original" as the format. Anyone else run into this?

I heard in a couple diff places that call quality on the s4 is not that great. Putting it another way, not as good as the note 2. I have the note 2 and while the call quality is ok, it is not as good as my old iphone 3gs. Anyways, anyone heard anything about this?
