  • Hi! Wow it's been a LONG time since i"ve visited this forum! I'm getting ready to buy the Motorola Droid Razr so I came here to check out what the real scoop is with the phone first. I currently have the Samsung Fascinate, I got it on a one year contract, so here I am 10 months later looking to upgrade again :) I really like the Moto Razor and think it's possible I may not even root it. The only thing I would miss is being able to use it as a wifi hotspot for free. Not that I even use that feature often, but it is nice when needed. Otherwise Verizon basically screws you to use the feature. I like that they offer a lapdock for the Razr too, these days it kind of hard to get time on my own laptop because of the kids, so it could be something good to have (for an additional $200!)

Other than that, I'm just gearing up for Winter here in Northern IL. Thanksgiving is next week, so it will be fun to see family and stuff myself :) Have great holidays if I don't hear from you!
    Hey Kari,
My one and only friend on this site (!). How are you? And what are you using these days? I got rid of my Eris as soon as they came out with the Incredible2. I like the HTC phones and I was impressed with the original Incredible, so as soon as they came out with the 2, I went for it. I'm not rooted; I'm happy with it just as it is - it's like an Eris, but without the issues. My two Erises are still in use - my girlfriend uses one for games, and the other is used to stream music to my living room audio system.
Hey Kari - sorry, I'm just seeing your message now! I had a great holiday season, but just after that I had some health problems (guy stuff) and I've been out of work all February. I'm ok now, and going back to work next week. Hope you're doing well.

I still have the Eris! In fact, I have two - I misplaced my first one and put in an insurance claim. A month after I received the replacement, I found the one I lost. I use the first one to (among other things) stream my iTunes collection from my pc to my living room stereo using the Audiogalaxy app.

Verizon just advised me that I can get an upgrade (I wasn't due until August). I don't know what to do. I like the Incredible, but it's kind of old now to be locked into for the next two years. I'm thinking of getting the Thunderbolt. Or just waiting for a new HTC knock-your-socks-off phone to come out.
What are you using these days?
