looks like megatron got two guides hovering over it huh XD
i have a stock UNROOTED samsung tu. how do i backup that system??? please hurry i dont want to stay stock for long. i exchanged my old phone today and want my $hevron ROM back... i just feel that developers may want a fully stock ROM for experimenting.
Hello Loota, hope all is well. Please allow me to repay you for your Help. You have got me going in the right direction in modding. I have learned a lot! I seem to be a natural. lol Anyway, take care!
No it won't screw up your other connected devices... you can get the app, but I think it requires root. Or you can change your routers dns servers. Tell me the make and model number of your router and I will try to find you a specific guide for that router type. Or you could go to opendns and look for it yourself. I suggest pming me if you want my help with this since my phone will notify me when you do.

I have a Linksys, but I'm not sure how to go about changing this DNS you guys are always talking about. I at one point knew how to open my router's ip address in my address bar and go to it and tweak settings, but I'm not sure what exactly I should do once I get in there to try to fix my phone.
I'd love to avoid this "root" you all speak of...sounds like it voids warranties, to me.
Can you answer a question for me please Loota? I have the SDK tools and want to learn android programming, modding etc. However, when I try to update it (SDK TOOLS), every file available for update reports back as failed access denied. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help!

Never mind, I feel kinda like Duh right now. after months I finally Googled and found answer here in the forums, Admin Rights! Admin Rights! Why didn't I think of that sooner, tried everything else, anti-virus off, force http etc. Thanks anyway guess I was just over thinking the problem.
I appreciate all that you do! If you are in need of any assistance, by all means PM me and I will be more than happy to help in any way that I can.
Thanks for all your help! I'll be sticking close to you till I learn this Droid stuff. It's all new to me but I'm all about tweaking & doing this with my phones :)
