Matlock, I am new to the forum and have been intrigue with rooting my HTC EVO 4g. I read your rooting for dummies and plan on trying it out. My system is running on 2.3.3 and I was wondering was it still cool for me to use that method to root. I would like to have the most recent software on my phone. Can you help me out with any suggestions. I just learned about rooting so be easy on me. Thanks in advance for your help.

Can you please give me a few webpages to get apk files. I go to androidunderground and it seems I can't find the apks I used to get there

Matlock, i need some help. I am an admitted blackberry bigot, i bought a Cincinnati Bell Blaze to see what the buzz is all about. I would like to get my blaze unlocked. apparently it is not "unlockable"? just thought you might be able to shed some light on this. Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks for your great info on rooting! I used UnrEvoked and am successfully rooted. I reviewed your info on flashing Roms and I tried using Rom manager. I tried downloading Warm 2.2 RLS 4 and everything worked until the download finished. It asked me if I want to back up and wipe and I selected both. Then my phone just reboots into the recovery mode and I can't do anything with it from there. Basically I think the problem is I don't know how to get the phone to boot into FLASHING MODE. Is there some special way I need to flash the first ROM I download?

Hello I followed your instructions and thanks a lot was painless and easy but one question, after it restarted in the notification window it said a mandatory update is needed I or something of that nature what do I do next?
