Do you have to unlock the bootloader before you can root the DNA? I had the Droid Bionic before and it was so easy to root and flash roms on it, the DNA is a different story, though id really like to root it. Unlocking the bootloader seems kind of complicated and i dont want to take the risk...

Has anyone charged their DNA yet while it's powered off? Unless I'm missing something it doesn't show the battery percentage on screen while it's powered off. The only way of knowing it's charging is by the red led light.

Is there a way to reset all the back ups i have and start fresh again? I accidentally backed up a bunch of apps i didn't mean to and want to start over again.

I have never done this before flashing a rom, should i be? I've read that you should format your system in cwr before flashing a rom. I just do the usual wipe data/cache/dalvik in safestrap and have never had any problems. What does formatting do? Thanks
