Sub-forum descriptions are hilariously out of date

Actually it's been called Google TV again for a few years, starting with the new Chromecast with Google TV and the Google TV app itself. Android TV is still being placed on very outdated leftovers at Walmart (their ONN brand TV streaming sticks) that are also running outdated Android builds...

    Big Changes at Android Forums

Oh believe me all the modern offerings are too close to Apple for me. Boring, bland, lacking features, feature removals, flat UI design. ***yawn*** Let's get the rapid pace going again, start packing features in, make each phone unique, and offer choices for everyone, from small screens to...

    no device specific forums anymore?

See above ^^ Takes too much effort to maintain forums for every device launch and deal with the clutter after they're outdated. Even the manufacturer section is full of no-longer-producing-phones companies such as Archos, Sony Ericsson, and LG.

    What are you listening to?

An entire playlist of Mflex sounds songs. The artist basically makes very synth heavy music that sounds like it's right out of the 1980s. If the sounds of Rolands and Yamaha DX7s mixed with vaporwave are your fair, try looking him up.

This is certainly not the thread to be trolling. Please go.

The "I'm so old" thread game

We always got the star spangled banner with music then snow. Never had the Fallout style test pattern. Nickelodeon also had a quite unique sign off in the early '80s:

Which Android device do you use?

I use plenty, just like my title below my avatar saying 'Extreme Android User' 1. Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (2012) (my podcast player and first real flagship tablet) 2. Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (2012) (ebook reader, kept offline) 3. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2012) (YouTube player via browser, saved videos in...

    Android Security Tips

Sorry but I violate rule two and three all the time. App stores are for noobs. They update stuff I don't want updated even with updates turned off. I never forgave Google for killing Android Market and I can't stand all the contant UI redesigns for Play Store. I don't believe in updates, so I...

Help Phone app on newer phones?

So long as you don't buy a newer Pixel just find the APK file of the Phone by Google app version you prefer (likely on a site such as apkmirror.com or apkpure.com), turn on 'unknown sources' in Security settings, open your preferred file manager app and tap the APK and hit install. I've been...

    Heartbroken

Nope, I don't want to move. I live and shop (and prefer it to remain so) in a very Mayberry-esque area. I have a home that's paid for, vehcles that are paid for, and these days no one other than futurists mess with me. I haven't dealt with a hunter in public since 2011. When I went vegan they...

Help Google Home Hub always says 'Something went wrong'

That error spoken out often means it lost the DNS for whatever reason. When I tried using them I'd have to put them on a timer that basically 'rebooted' them a few times a day or I'd be guaranteed it'd fail with some variation of 'Something Went Wrong' or 'There was a glitch'. In the end it made...

    Heartbroken

Problem is, I am not that good with humans. Like, ever. They are alien to me. They and I have nothing in common. I've always felt far more comfortable around animals. They don't lie, or deceive, or hate. They don't care what you look like or what colour your skin is or whether you're male...

Movies You *Won't* Watch Again ...

There was also something even worse, also marketed by Hasbro (who also owns Tiger), called VideoNOW!. Nothing more crazy than black and white pixelated 320x200 style episodes of random TV shows! On proprietary format, nonetheless. I do remember HitClips. They spent more time being attached to...
