So I am planning on getting a used N6 from Swappa. Of course, I'd rather get a 6 month old one than a 2 year old one.
Some sellers are not the original owners so they don't necessarily know the age.
Are there any visual clues to determine an earlier or later production phone?
I read you can...
I am All But a root virgin.
My N4 is rooted with the Wugs tool kit but that's about all I knew how to do. I may not even have the latest version of Wugs though I have updated that once since I rooted early this year.
I was too ignernt and skeered to even update to 4.4.3.
I originally...
I am on 4.4.3 and prefer to stay that way. Things are Just As I like them now. EXCEPT for the incessant System Update Notification.
I am rooted with the Stock Rom. I rooted with the Wugs tool kit and that's about the extent of my abilities.
I was told in MetroPCS-ville that I can do the...
Sorry to crosspost with a link but I'm on the N4 only and didn't want to have to type all this again.

One thing that's always been a PIA of Navigate for me is setting the destination easily and quickly. I usually put it in ahead of time it's such a PIA for me to do on the fly. (Driving)
So tonight I'm listening to Erica Griffin's N4 Mother of all reviews to see if I'd missed anything good with...

How to Root the Google Nexus 4 - Latest - YouTube
He says to select the PDA drivers, is that correct?
Also Wugs and the vid author recco TWRP recovery instead of CWM is that also correct?
If not why?
Trying to load my guns here to root.
(My main reason for rooting is the enable the LTE.)
I...
So I'm on activation curfew with my N4 until I can sell my Spirit :( but that doesn't stop me from getting some "needed" goodies for it and getting it set up in the meantime. Thankfully it came with the Fusion case as I might likely have gotten that one anyway if it hadn't.
So I got this...
So I have my 3 month old N4 waiting to be activated until I can sell my Spirit.
I've played with it a bit on WiFi, got everything set up like I like.
Did a full charge, again, no service and only 29 minutes of screen time. It was only connected to the WiFi a couple times over the period...
From all I have read, with KitKat, the furthest screen to the left is the Google Now screen.
It isn't on My N4.
I did activate it and I can access it via a upwards swipe from a soft button but I have searched and can't find out how to make it that far left screen.
Help please ?:confused...
So there I am, skip to my louing down Phone Avenue, minding my own bitness, maybe standing a little too long at the Nexus 4 window, squinting...
Just window shopping you know, no real reason or plan that I can think of for me to go GSM til at least next year.
Don't even ask me what made me...
I'm confused.
Some of the N4's appear to have just a flat glass back. Some have "the nubbies" that look patterned (kinda).
Is one newer than the other? If so, about when did they change?
What's the deal?

The main reason I'd want it rooted would be to enable LTE of course.
I see several different ROMs on rooted phones already on SWAPPA, which one is the most widely used and error free?
Any to stay away from (unfinished?)
I'm kinda skeered of doing it all myself but it seems there's lots...
Yall are gonna LUV this.
I would suggest a couple fingers of liquor or a sedative before you watch it. ;)
