  • I think I'm referring to when one retires the hero from active (phone) duty for an upgrade.
You can still use it for everything under the sun, provided you have a wi-fi connection. It's a nice device, that has a long life after being an active phone (to me).
I have only good things to say about Credo. They're a little expensive, but the service is excellent, when you need support. I've been with them over 10 years. Highly recommended.
Sorry about any confusion. Hope this helps!

It's a bit complicated a question. I'm stuck on the hero, too. I use Credo (lefty-liberal company that uses Sprint tubes). To save money, really, you'd be advised to root your phone, install CM7, and use it only on wi-fi.
I love my hero, and that's a good thing, because there's no way I can afford to upgrade.

I found this post from January...
I researched rooting your phone and CM7, and am curious what you mean to use it only on wi-fi?
I also researched Credo and considering switching to them, but still stumped on what you mean by use wi-fi only?
Bye what I've seen in the CM7 mod, is performance, look and customization mod, don't see how that applys to giving you the ability to use wi-fi only?
