    Root any ROM via HTC's re-flashing procedure, no?

    HTC keeps the stock ROM for Aria on their site. The procedure explained. Why it won't work if try to flash the phone with any other ROM? XDA has a copy of the ATT's ROM with a couple of utils for root acceess. I like this option a lot. Too easy to be true, right?
