    Root Stock bootloader/recovery with root?

    I want to flash my evo over to Boost Mobile. From what I understand I have to be root to do this, however, the instructional video I am following wants me to flash back to stock. Is there a way to have stock recovery AND root? Could some one point me to the right RUU download or maybe even help...
