i think taht i may have fixed by claiming on my insurance and getting a new phone of orange

Best thing to do would be to post in the forums so everyone can benefit from our troubleshooting. When there, please state the following:

1) You said downloaded - is the the OTA (Over The Air) update or did you manually install it?

2) Are you rooted?

3) If all of this is a manual procedure did you make a Nandroid backup before hand? If not (or if this is on a non-rooted phone and you used the OTA update) - have you tried re-updating to FroYo?
