If you ended up having to contact HTC, could you please help me out with some info, like; what was the state you left the phone in when you shipped it back to them (in constant reboot with htc sence logo visible or did you leave the hboot on that gives the black screen?), second what did you tell them the problem was and did they comply with the warranty? I bought my phone through Verizon though did not get the extra warranty coverage with them. It would definitely be under HTC's warranty, though I have concerns about what they may say or if they will even find out if the phone has been rooted, s-off, cwm recovery added, etc.. I really appreciate the help and all the help from the androidforums and others, and look forward to being able to help others in the future with anything I can myself. Thanks again for giving a little of your time in this and I look forward to hearing from you.

    Thanks
    nem

Hi, I came across your thread here; http://androidforums.com/incredible-all-things-root/331672-help-me-please-advanced-problem-need-really-smart-guy.html , and it seems like you are the only person I have found up to now who is having the exact same problem as me. I went to bed and woke up with the phone in auto-reboot mode. I was wondering how your outcome has turned out so far and whether or not you had to take up your warranty with the manufacturer.

I have searched a good bit to fix this and of course turn up dead ends just like yourself. If you don't mind, I see mention of different hboot versions and different pb31...img files, though I am a bit clueless as to where to find these at this point. I will continue to search though I really need to get my phone back or at least attempt to. If you don't mind could you please share with me some helpful links, so that I may attempt to try to restore my inoperable phone?

    continued...
