    Root Use tether app with no service?

    My evo is rooted, I no longer have it as someone else is currently using it. I do have the app that allows your to tether but I'm wondering if I can still tether even if the phone is no longer active(person will be upgrading and the phone won't be serviced)

    i am currently running the first recharged rom and have the hached wifi hotspot, can i use titanium backup to save the app and then recover my nandroid back up with no rom running on it and it stillwork? is this good/okay to do?
