I would go Light...the internal storage is amazing and rooting it and deleting the metro bloat will give you even more.

Cricket isn't Tmobile :) Although Tmobile and Metros systems are the same, they still need to ADD the IMEI to the Metro system. Call them up, it'll take 10 mins if even.
