Thank you for the kind words! To answer you, I simply just got on the horse and rode it. I don't formally know any programming languages. I do however know HTML 4.0 and CSS 2.0 which is self taught since 1996. Also I picked up a little, and I mean a very little on PHP and Perl. If I had to write you a program I would fail trust me.
So if I have anything to say on the matter is just do it. Take your current computer and reloaded it with Ubuntu 10.04. What do you have to lose? Google your ass off and you will find the fix for almost anything, post on forums, post on CM7 boards, even hop on IRC for Cyanogenmod. As Master Yoda said "Do. Or do not. There is no try".
