got a lil abseent minded while installin cm7 and did a factory reset with out doin a back up and fast booting the recovery image by pc is not workin at all any ideas?

so i have rooted my ascend and over clocked it but im tired of playing around with it. i want to get a phone that comes with 2.2 or something that has other roms for it other than icarus. so does anyone know of any kind of phone that would be a good choice to do this with? and where i can find...
