Help Help, I paid for my metro pcs service and now my sim card said invalid

So I just recently purchase a firece 2 from metro pcs, & I was playing around with it last night, I took the sim card and see if it works on another phone. But when I put the sim card back into the original phone it says invalid sim card. What can I do to start up my service again?

Restart your phone if you haven't already, if that doesn't work, contact your local Metro PCS store for help.

It would be around $5 for a new SIM card to be given to you. It's not exactly $5 as I never had to get a new one.

Okay thanks. Kinda not want to spend anymore money cause I've been using too much. There's no way I can metro PCs customer service and I can try to fix it myself.

A new SIM will probably be free. The existing one is either physically damaged or it was inserted into a phone whose IMEI was reported cloned or stolen (so your number has been temporarily disabled).

I can think of two things of what could have happened, the first is that the sim card got disabled because you put it inside a phone that was reported stolen... OR, the card stopped working PERIOD.

Now, from what I've been told is that Sim cards are not covered by warranty because they are actually not part of the phone itself (Just like a removable battery). You would have to buy a new sim and hope they dont charge you an extra 15 for an ESN change (cause a sim card change is technically an ESN change).

Here is what I would recommend you do right away. Go to the store you purchased the phone from and show them that the sim card is not working. Then ask if you could get a replacement sim card because its not working (sometimes an owner will waver the fees so he doesn't lose a customer)

If he refuses, you can call Metro services and ask them if they can credit your bill the amount you will have to pay for a sim card and esn change (most of the times you can ask to speak to a higher up until they cave and just give you the credit)
