You can also have your own ad supported website where you can teach all the knowledge you've gained as a dev and host your projects.

You can also sell merchandise on your website. Get a free account with cafepress.com and any designs you create they'll put onto t-shirts, coffee mugs, and whole bunch of other products. They get a percentage of every unit sold and you get the rest.

Note:
An AF member that we all know sells merchandise like this.

It's cheap to have your own site. Costs me roughly $200 every three years for hosting, domain, ssl, and who is protection. There's also some really good free site hosting powered by git.

Since I mentioned git I should inform you that git and github are 2 different things.

Git is a commandline tool for managing source code locally(on your computer) and remotely(on github or gitlab etc).

Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket, and a few others are for storing and managing your source code online. This allows version control and collaboration with others amongst other things.

You can leverage git and one of the sites mentioned to create, deploy, and manage your site. You have a choice of using a free sub-domain or paying for a top level domain(ie .com, .net, .org etc).

By the way, there's different ways of doing this. The one you linked is just one way.

Yes, they'll give you a free sub-domain. Since you already have a site showcasing your projects, why not just stick with it? Your site seems fine for what you need. :thumbsupdroid:

Another option is to give the guy above me^ the 200 payments he's asking for.
