Sign In to Cable WIFI

As I walk or drive around I frequently get an intrusive screen on my phone asking me to Sign In to Cable WIFI.
Is there any way to prevent this short of turning wifi off?
I get no notification when I'm in range of any other wifi network.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 with Android 8.

Settings, Wifi, Advanced, Manage Networks, then tap on Cable WiFi and hit Forget (if you don't want to connect to it again and not get that notification), or if you use it sometimes but don't want the notification to appear automatically just uncheck the 'Auto reconnect' option.

If you can't see the network within Manage Networks then you need to uncheck the option to auto-connect to open networks. There is also an option within WiFi settings, Advanced called Hotspot 2.0 - uncheck this if all above fails.
