Fingerprint Sensor not Responding try Again Later

Samsung pass is not working. I went into my setting and realized that my figerprint was no longer registered. I tried to redo it it but the following message keeps coming up
Fingerprint Sensor not Responding try Again Later

I'd start with the obvious, like reboot the phone.

If that's not enough try clearing the system cache (from recovery: just clear the cache, don't clear anything else, don't touch anything if you are unsure what it does).

You should also clean the fingerprint scanner as well.
