Taking a chance on gmail

The "new" S5 has a working battery, for now. It isn't charging, though. There are some files uploading to gmail, supposedly. I want to take the battery out while it still has some charge. Will the files still upload if I do?

They were photos. The uploading finally got done and they were sent. It's good to know for the future, though, thanks.

I don't have to miss 'em. I've got 3 or 4 of 'em! My problem is keeping the batteries all charged when the "new" S5 won't do that and I still don't know why not.

Instead of trying to email your files, a simpler way would be to upload them to Google Drive (or Dropbox, or OneDrive). I keep a folder, on my Google Drive, exclusively for back up.
Apks, app settings, my epub files and the like. So when ever I switch phones, or need to do a reset, I have the necessary files available.
