Memory full

My Hudl 2 internal memory is full, and I have tried to reduce this by clearing cache on apps. I do not have apps that use a lot of memory, so I cannot understand why the memory is full. I would like to download movies direct to the SD card. I have tried a couple of ways, but they don't work.

Well the first step is to understand what is using the storage. You should be able to get a crude overview from your device's Settings (assuming Tesco haven't messed with that to the point where the Storage menu is no longer available - I've never touched a Hudl so don't really know what modifications they make). If you can free enough space to install a small app then "DiskUsage" is good for getting a detailed view of what's actually going on.

Once you know what's using the space you'll know what options you have to resolve it.
