Do you have plenty of space on your external micro SD card? You should be able to move some programs to SD. There's no automated way to do it, unless the phone is rooted and use a root only app, along with a secondary partition on the external card made specifically for apps. I use AppMgrIII, from Sam Lu. It makes the task easier, as it can track apps that can be moved to SD once they're downloaded onto the phone.

That should free up some internal space. If that doesn't do enough, you'll have to take note of the apps that you hardly use anymore, and simply delete them. If deleting apps still doesn't free enough space for you, you'll have to back up important files to an external hard drive, using a PC

I have this same issue. When I looked more closely, I found there were many hidden apps on the phone & too many I don't use. I have everything I can possibily move on the sd card. Yet, that's the first place the phone wants to start deleting things from. It gets extremely frustrating trying to figure all of these things out without doing damage to my phone. Also, there are duplicates upon duplicates of pictures & other things I have no idea how to access. HELP!
If you ask I can provide more information. I just need to know what you need to figure it all out...

Help & thanks!

I've maintained the practice of moving everything to the sd card when I download (before opening the app) in hopes of the phone using data on the card rather than on the phone. I also change the settings in any app I can to keep data/cache on the sd card. About half of the apps I use have stayed that way. As a result I haven't had the issue you describe.
