Hotspot Widget

Does anyone know where the hotspot widget is?
I've looked all over.
I don't seem to have it and I also don't have a "settings" widget either.
This is a T-mobile Note 8.

Anyone know?

The widget is missing on my Verizon Note 8 as well. The only place I see Mobile Hotspot is in the Quick Settings.
 
Hopefully someone will update this.

Seems like an oversight by the phone companies......unless they don't want us to use all that extra data.
I pay extra 10 a month to use it though.
They wouldn't.....nah......they're too pure and nice......lol

What? You don't have Mobile Hotspot in Quick Settings? I don't have a widget or an app icon. Just a button in Quick Settings.
 
To the best of my knowledge, they did away with the widget quite a while ago. After my note 5 updated to marshmallow, it was gone and it wasn't on my Note7 or S7e either. Quick settings is the only place to find it these days. (at least on the VZW variants anyway)
 
I found a good way to turn it on. Just slide down the notification panel and rearrange the icons so that the "Mobile Hotspot" icon is quickly visible.

That was a simple fix.

Yeah, that's what I was referring to, when I said Quick Settings. Glad you figured it out.
 
Yeah there is an option under connections. Just takes a second or two of menu diving to get to it.

I honestly never knew there were/used to be tether widgets.. :)

The hotspot widget was on S7E (TMobile). I can't believe it's not on the Note 8 and Note 9. Why would they get rid of this widget? Makes no sense.

Probably due to the reason that:
- You can use a Settings widget and have it control hotspot
- Just use QuickSettings from the pulldown menu..
