Google maps search history

Hey guys my Google maps search history will not clear when I try to delete it can some one please help me with this? Thank you!
 
This one I've got. Go into the maps app and to the menu bars. Choose Settings then Map history. You can delete everything at once or scroll down the entries and just delete the Searches. Before deleting everything, I would scroll down to see what you would be deleting along with the Searches. :thumbsupdroid:
 
I tried that and it's not working that why I asked here my search history is not going away when I click in the search bar past searches show up and I want to get rid of them I already tried the 3 bars section and deleted things a thousand times and nothing is working it's getting frustrating
 
Sorry. You can try contacting LG, but I haven't had much success. Have you tried in the phones settings, under General, then Google?
 
I give up. I tried deleting a search in the map app and I had the same issue. It didn't delete. I'll keep searching but at least your not alone and it isn't your phone.
 
Yeah that's good to know at least it's not me but it's still frustrating even in the personal content drop down it still shows up is there any way to stop that menu from displaying search history from chrome and maps from showing up in there?
 
Everything I search, comes back to the Google settings. I know you said you tried them, but just to be sure, have you tried this setting to automatically delete? I haven't tried it because I don't want to delete my stuff. If you have, and i think you did, then I don't know. Sorry.

Thank you! I looked at that too but I thought the same as you id like to have it there but just be able to delete it when I feel like it lol
 
Try using the web interface to manage your saved Google stuff. Using a web browser log into your account here:
https://myaccount.google.com/data-and-personalization
and you can peruse through some of the Google services history that gets accumulated. Note the 'scary' warnings about how your quality of life will be set back if you delete (referred to as 'pause') whatever you can.

Never paid much attention to the search history in maps. I only use it infrequently to check distance because I use a portable GPS when we travel.

Checked and never could figure out how to delete it.

Is there a way to customize the personal content drop down menu to stop displaying Google history ??
 
Again, go into your Google account settings and disable whichever services you don't want to have saved. Just don't forget that since Google has so many services set up to be inter-related with each other you may or may not be affecting other services you do rely upon.
 
Ok...that pretty much takes care of all the do it yourself options I can think of. The only other thing I can think of is taking it to your carrier's shop and having one of their staff give it the once over.
