SCHEDULE APP UPDATES

Is there a way to schedule a time to download app updates?
I need to have them download sometime between 2 am and 8am, because that is when I have free wifi data, so it doesn't use my data allotment.

Go into your playstore settings and choose update over wifi only.
If you need it to be a certain time, you'll need to use an app like Tasker, to set it up

Last time I checked, Wi-Fi is free if you're connected to your home network

I have free data from 2-8 am, so it doesn't eat into my plan allotment if I use that. I only have 20G with Hughesnet

20G is a lot of data per month.
You should have no problem with automatic updates consuming any big chunks of data.

Application updates shouldn't hit it too much (depending on how many you have that are updated and how big they are), but you have a better idea of your monthly usage and if even a few app updates will be an issue.

To echo, though, you'll have to set the Play Store for wifi-only updates and use another application to turn on/off wifi during certain hours.
