Help protect headphone port in shirt pocket from rain

I like to carry my phone(s) in my shirt pocket. Most don't have a flap and even those that do aren't deep enough to cover the end of a phone. Thus, rain, even soft drizzle, is an issue. Is there any kind of plug or case that would protect the empty headphone port?

There are rubber caps for it, you can buy it from eBay or make one yourself.

Yes there might be a suitable case that covers the jacks, depending on the particular phone you've got.

I have a case on my Huawei that completely covers both the headphone and USB port, these are flaps in the case.

Personally? I'd just go with Bluetooth headphones and just leave the phone sealed in a pocket somewhere

Another option that might work out for you is to get a belt holster/pouch:

This way as long as you have some pants on than you don't have to rely on a shirt with an adequate pocket when you're out and about, plus even if it's raining you can still have earbuds plugged in.

I was thinking about this, because it's been a bit precipitous around here in the last few days, and I have to ask. How often are you walking about in rain wearing just a shirt? Me, I'll usually have at least an umbrella, and weatherproof clothing as well if the forecast is not so good.
