Knock Off Battery?

I've been reading some of the threads regarding battery calibration and the symptoms I am having with my phone are eerily similar. But the battery in the phone is less than 4 months old. I bought it off of Ebay and it said it was a genuine Samsung Note 4 battery and it looks just like one. My question is, is it possible this could be a knockoff and it's just a piece of crap? It did only cost $9.99. My phone is still in excellent condition and I hate to get a new phone if I don't need to. Should I try a for sure genuine battery? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

If it was cheap from Ebay, then it quite possible it's a bad fake. Try for a genuine or a good third-party one from a more trustworthy source, like your carrier's store.

That's suspiciously cheap. I'd say you bought a fake battery.

For this reason, I don't economise on batteries. I always buy from a trusted source, and pay the going rate for a brand new manufacturer battery.

My best luck has been with Acevan, Anker and Rav off Amazon. ☺
Anything much less than $20 typically isn't worth bothering to even return in my experience.

Samsung electric corporation no long makes Note 4 batterys and most likely the battery you purchased was a fake. Also, the slim high capacity advertising 5690amh with the same size as the original are also untrue. The Acesoft battery is ok but I can say Id recommend it but its works. The external battery pack integrated into a case I would recommend. Its a Stallion. About the size of an Otter box only a bit heavier.
