Where is "notes/memo" file stored/how to retrieve from Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016)?

Dilemma:
LCD screen broken on phone, need cost-free alternative to retrieve my notes/memos (not sure what they're called), not finding notes/memos, hopefully only because I'm ignorant to where/how to find them in the phone files, and get them to display. The notes/memos in the J3 (2016) behaves like calendar, not like a separate app, whereas in later model, more robust phones, like the newer Samsung J7 "Samsung Notes" behaves as a standalone app.

Tapped into phone innards via MyPhoneExplorer (http://www.fjsoft.at/forum/viewtopic.php?t=42). Amazing, I can see Contacts, Messages, just not the notes. Oddly, MyPhoneExplorer is not displaying any data in the viewable "Notes" folder, at least.

I've gleaned from the web, the file may be called "com.sec.android.app.memo", but am at a loss. Anyone?...

Screenshots below of the "Files\System Storage", "Files\Internal Storage" and "Note" views, via MyPhoneExplorer:

Danny, the Documents folder is empty. Which isn't totally surprising; I mainly used the phone for calls, texts, web browsing, notes/memos, photos.

Any other guesses? I appreciate your time.

What do you mean when you say that the notes "behave like calendar"? You mean that you access them through the calendar app, or something else?

It's possible that they are stored as part of the app's internal data, i.e. somewhere in /data/data/com.samsung.whatever-they-call-the-app, or maybe in /data/data/com.sec.android.app.memo. If so they may be stored in an sql database rather than as flat files. But if they are stored that way you'll probably need root to access them using a file explorer. Just speculating, since I'm not familiar with this phone and its apps, so just saying where apps generally store their internal data.

Do you know whether the app had an option to export the notes/memos? If it had then if you can mirror the screen to another display you might be able to use that to write a copy into somewhere more accessible (if you can control the phone - easiest if the touch layer isn't broken, otherwise you'll need to use either an OTG adapter or bluetooth to connect a keyboard or mouse to it, and if you have to use the usb port for display mirroring that may not be easy).

Easy. It's located in a box named "Essentials" that contains other apps. Your calculator is in there, too, along with other basic apps. Should be on your second screen.
