Help Sharing Photo - Random Contact Suggestions?

Hi there,

I have a Google Pixel 2 XL.

Does anyone else experience this?

When I go to my Photos, select one ore multiple and click "Share", I'm presented with maybe 1-2 contacts that I'm in touch with daily, and then a bunch of random contacts that I don't talk with at all to share my photos with. These randoms come up almost as a "suggestion"/favorites list.

Why do I get suggestions to share photos with contacts that I haven't texted or called for years?

These randoms come up almost as a "suggestion"/favorites list.

That's exactly what they are; if you read its 'About suggested people,' you'll see this:

Like you, I get random suggestions--including people like my mother...who died in 2013. (Other than dreams, I've had no interactions with her since.)

What it SAYS it does, and what it ACTUALLY does are two different things! I just ignore it. Use the search bar to find who you really want to share with.

I know some people who don't get this issue on their Androids, so it's a little odd.

It has to be some issue of commonality, like using the same Android version, or using the same manufacturer's devices, or...who knows? You and I must have something(s) in common that those other people don't. Lucky us!
