Looking for popular Linux games

Hi there, we have some embedded devices and we are looking for some popular games based on Linux OS (2.6), compatible with cocos2dX-1.0.*, cocos2dX-2* and SDL. Please anyone having the resources, don't hesitate to let me know.

I'm not a gamer so I can't recommend any games personally, but here's a recently compiled list of popular linux games. I've also seen "Final Fantasy" on linux often touted.

Think you'll need to enquire with the particular games' developers. But generally with Linux games, if it's released under GPL(General Public License), e.g. Tux Racer, you should find their source code available on their own websites, or at sites like SourceForge.

Wiki has a nice list of open source games that you can reuse, modify, and commercially redistribute. They're a mix of games from all platforms, so you'll have to figure out which are for linux.

Rest the mouse cursor on the name of the game to get a description popup. The same can be done for most links on wiki.
