Help Calender sync'ing

Right, so just moved phones and have everything setup apart from my calenders. The normal samsung and Google calenders has synced no issues.

The problem I have is the "My Phone" calenders will not sync, I don't think they are included in the sync process. They are the ones that are stored on your device and happen to be the calender I use for daily events such as appointments etc. So really do need this one to transfer over.

Any ideas? I've searched but cannot refine the search well enough to reach the correct solution.

Using Samsung's calender on the S10 Plus, I've also used the Samsung Smart Switch, but this does not transfer calenders over. Hopefully I am just missing something silly here.

And while I'm at it, Brave browser.. @#$@ there is no way to transfer or backup your bookmarks to get them on a new device, am I wrong or is it not 2019?!?

OK, so as you figured an unsynced calendar won't just transfer because it's not connected to an account you can sync with. So the only way you can transfer its events is by exporting them in a form you can read back into your new phone's calendar app or by copying them to a synced account.

You haven't said what app you were using on your old phone. But the key question is whether it lets you export that calendar's events into a formal that can be imported by another app. Otherwise I'm sure it will let you duplicate them to a different (synced) calendar, but that will be tedious as well as perhaps not what you want.

It might be that a third party backup app would let you transfer the calendar data, but only if you were using the same app on both phones (and even if both are Samsung that won't necessarily mean it's the same app).

Hay @Hadron sorry for the late reply.

Both phones using the same calender, but I did fire up google calender to check the options in there. Although the samsung app does not allow exporting, google does via the web portal. But yet again, because there is no way to sync the calender stored on the phone you cannot download it.

I guess a third party app is the way to go. I have ported some over to my new phone and disabled the calender stored in the phone itself so I don't get the same issue later on. Although I need to figure out why it is adding the events to an imported calender rather than my default "named" calender.
