The Galaxy s7

Been thinking about getting a s7. What would you say are the Pros and Cons of this phone.
Thanks in advance for your answers.

I think the S7 is still a competent usable phone for most things. I've got an S7 I just use on WiFi now. It's on Android 8 Oreo, although It won't receive any more OTA updates now. If you get an Exynos variant, it's a good device for rooting, and there's plenty of custom ROMs available.

Think there's two issues possibly, given that it's been around for 3 years and depending on what sort of life a used one has had.
1. The battery may need replacing.
2. Possible AMOLED screen burn and/or fade.

The S7 was released in early 2016 so it's really important to be mindful of its battery at this point. This model doesn't have a user-replaceable battery and unlike some other models in that same category where the battery isn't that much of a bother to actually be replaced, this one is. If yours does have a failing battery, you can replace it yourself but be sure you a) are comfortable tearing down a phone, b) have all the necessary tools and supplied, and c) have a lot of patience as there are lots of glues and adhesives to overcome. This iFixit guide is a really good source for step-by-step directions:

Otherwise, just take the phone to a local, trusted repair center and have them do it for you (add that cost to the initial cost of the phone itself if you're still deciding on just what to buy next).
All that said, the S7 is a tried and true model with a good history. In its day it was one of Samsung's flagship models.

The S7 I've got I know it's history. It was new in April 2017, and only had light use. It was given to me last year, but it had broken front glass. Not really worth repairing in the UK(quoted £140), but definitely worth repairing in China for the equivalent of about £30 at the local tech mall. And the battery still seems to be good in it.

BTW it's pretty much same thing for S7 Edge.

Everything is good but only one thing it suffers

Is when it was updated to Android Oreo, Oreo has a issue with draining battery a little bit faster and watching 4K videos on YouTube does lag a bit

It has expandable storage up to 64GB, 3.5mm headphone jack, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, wireless charging
