Meizu M3 note has no google play installed

I got this phone as a gift and almost everything in it is in Chinese. It has a separate app store which is completely in Chinese. I don't have and google play installed and I cannot download any apps. Possible fixes ?

Assuming your phone is supported you can download it, with these instructions...

If it's not, there are other app stores to try, like Amazon.

You've got the China version rather than the international version, which doesn't have Google of course. Meizu used to do a specially patched version of Google Play as an APK for direct installation into their Chinese Flyme OS version of Android, no root required. However Meizu seem to have taken down their English forums, it just states "Coming soon", so quite frankly don't know what you can do now.

Where did you buy it, any chance of returning it?

Does anybody know how to update Android on Meizu??
