Fix noncharging JBL Flip4 speaker

My friend's Flip4 ordinarily shows that it's charging by having a blinking white dot under a nonblinkng blue circle, then 2 dots, etc., until it's fully charged at 5. It's not doing that. Instead it's sometimes 1 dot, sometimes none, blinking or steady, and the circle may be blue or white. I tried looking online for help, maybe a manual. I did find it but the pages are not enlargeable and the hieroglyphics are indecipherable. Please help.

Either the battery is caput or the charging circuit has a hardware fault.

I've never seen a flip 4 for real, but i guess like many BT speakers, it's a glued together sealed unit, not intended to be repaired or serviced.

Thanks, it probably is a black box (or cylinder). The good news is it finally did charge. I guess we accidentally gave it the right command(s).
