1080p vs 4k

Is there a difference in Power consumption when watching movies, streaming or ripped?

Sony and Samsung are slinging 4k displays. I need a new phone.

Please discuss...

I don't think you would notice 4k on a phone screen. Plus it means higher bandwidth for anything you stream.

So more power for streaming then... What if you are just playing a file you happen to have found? Don't need bandwidth to play that.

Probably more power for 4K as there's a lot more pixels to push around rather quickly.
