Galaxy Samsung Note 8 text error message

Galaxy Samsung Note 8 error message when trying to send a text message. Error 1121611611 - invalid number; try resending with a valid 10 digit number. Have confirmed that the number is correct. Can receive texts from this number but I cannot send text. How to resolve. Please advise.
