LG HBS-910 Right Earbud Suddenly Goes Too Low Volume

I have an HBS-910, and the right side earbud is producing about 1/3rd as much sound as the left earbud. I already went to the Android "Accessibility" link, and the sound is set to evenly balance the left and right sides. Is this a hardware failure? What could be causing this? It was working for several weeks and suddenly started to misbehave today.

I just did this on another tablet. The right earbud is still lower sound.

I think the very much condemns the earbuds as the problem. Check the earbuds are not just blocked up with earwax or other muck, particularly the right one.

These are the rubber tipped in-ear type, that you push right into the ear-canal. Maybe the little hole that lets the sound out is bunged up with gunk?

Good point. Yes, I switched ears and the sound is lower on the equipment and there was not hearing loss.
Great! I just wanted to check because it reminded me of an incident with my mom. She woke up one morning totally deaf in her right ear. No pain, no cold, no fever. Her doctor took one look inside, then had her nurse get some equipment. She squirted a solution into Mom's ear...and out came a hard plug of earwax. Mom could hear again! :D

As for your issue, I agree with @mikedt that the earbuds are the problem. If they're still under warranty, see about getting them replaced.

Where do I find the serial number on a LG HBS-910 or its box? The headset itself has an FCC ID number but I do not find the serial.
